September Civic Club Meeting

Community Meeting for the Proposed Navy Base Intermodal Facility

The Navy Base Intermodal Facility EIS team will be holding a community meeting from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 to listen to community comments, concerns, and questions.  The meeting will be held at the Olde Village Community Center at 4820 Jenkins Avenue.

National Night Out

Meet your neighbors and join them in celebrating America's National Night Out Against Crime on August 5 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Park Circle.  There will be free food, games, and lots of fun!

May Civic Club Meeting

Please join us for the May meeting of the Cameron Terrace/Oak Park Civic Club.  Instead of our regular meeting, we will be taking a tour of the Navy Base, and additional sites in the city, time-permitting.  City Councilman Bob King has secured a 25-passenger bus for us, and it will be leaving at 7:00PM sharp.  If you would like to go, please be on time.

This is our last meeting before summer.  Our next meeting will be in September.  Hope to see everyone there on Monday!

There will be a town hall meeting on preparedness:  "Where WE stand today as it relates to Preparedness".  This will be held on Wednesday, April 30th at 6:00PM at the City of North Charleston City Hall.  If you are interested in being active in keeping our community prepared for emergencies, please go to this meeting.

Community Meeting for the Proposed Navy Base Intermodal Facility

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding a community meeting at 6:00PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 to provide information and to allow for open and informal discussion about the studies that will be prepared and the alternatives that will be evaluated in the EIS for the proposed Navy Base Intermodal Facility project.  The meeting will be held at the Military Magnet Academy (2950 Carner Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405).

Citizens Public Safety Academy

The City of North Charleston Police Fire, Code Enforcement, and Building Departments have launched the Citizens Public Safety Academy program as way to give the citizens of North Charleston an inside look at these departments and what they do.  Each session of program lasts 11 weeks and is free.  For more information, browse to the North Charleston blog.
